Research On Chinese Classical Gardens Museum Annex Architecture Design

At the beginning of the 21 st century, a part of large-scale Chinese classical private gardens has founded museum agencies,and museum annex architecture were built in the environment of private garden, such as annex of Suzhou garden museum, annex of keyuan museum, annex of sansuci museum-sansuci memorial. Still there are more museum annex on the agenda. This kind of museum founded by Chinese classical private gardens is named Chinese classical gardens museum in this dissertation. The Chinese classical gardens museum change the utilization mode of private gardens, and also the museum annex architecture have an effect on conservation and utilization of the private gardens.This dissertation take Chinese classical private gardens as research object,investigate its forming process from private gardens to public museum in the influence of social environment; research its function of management, conservation, research, exposition, education, propaganda and its distinguishing feature of site selection, main display, exhibits, museum architecture; conclude its role of being a governor and providing a platform to exchange culture from Chinese classical gardens to visitors. To know that the purpose of building Chinese classical gardens museum annex architecture is to meet the need of museum function and cultural activities.Depanding on the property and theory of Chinese classical private gardens,the theory of historic gardens conservation; effect of tourism and culture, combinding the practical cases of Chinese classical gardens museum annex architecture, five principles of annex architecture are generalized.:(a) Based on the scale of the garden, choose the type of museum building;(b) Protecting the environment of the garden, plan the general layout;(c)Meeting the needs of the garden, organize flow and functions;(d) Demonstrating the cultural of garden, render the space atmosphere;(e) Emphasizing the image of garden, weaken the annex architecture’s appearance.
