Along with the rapid development of the national econmy and transportation, due to various reasons such as steel corrosion, section crack, bridge deformation, insufficient bearing capacity of bridge structie, the bridge structure which operating years suffered all kinds of diseases. Therefore, the research of old bridge strengthening technology has great pratical significance.This paper takes the Xi’An Ting Bridge(old bridge) as the research object, the reinforcement and reconstruction technology research has been conducted, the main research contents are as follows:(1) The existing bridge strengthening methods are reviewed, and the advantages and disadvantages and application of different strengthening and repair methods are analyzed and summarized, providing the theoretical support to the reinforcement and reconstruction of Xi An Ting Bridge(old bridge).(2) According to the special quality detection of Xi An Ting Bridge(old bridge), the cracks of T-shaped rigid frame box girder and T girder, and bridge deck paveemt disease are analyzed, and the reaseans for the occurrence of the disease are summarizes, which provid the technical basis of the reinforcement and reconstruction of Xi An Ting Bridge(old bridge).(3) The vertical and horizontal checking and calculation analysis of T-shaped rigid frame box girde and T girde is carried out on the Xi An Ting Bride(old bride).(4) On the basis of the the calculation analysis, the reinforcement design of Xi An Ting bridge is conducted: a) closure of grouting treatmen of the cracks, and bond steel plate + friction type high – strength bolis are adopted in the T girder; b) bonding steel plates in the T-frame box girder, middle transverse diaphragm and end diaphragm, and outsourcing steel plate processing is adopted in the T box girder cattle leg. The results of reinforcement design showed that the bearing capacity of box beam increases 28%, the T-beams increase lateral stiffness and lower transverse distribution coefficient, so as toachieve the expected strengthening effect.(5) According to the present situation and characteristics of Xi An Ting Bridge(old bridge), the key points and relevant measures of the strengthing construction are summarized, which provide technical reference for the similar bridge strengthening and reinforcement.(6) In this paper the study of the disease analysis, the strengthening and reinforcement design and construction are carried out, which can provide a valuable basis for the future design and construction of bridge strengthening.
