Research Of Gutter Oil Using As Release Agent And Shrinkage Reducing Agent Of Concrete

With the catering industry a rapid growth, as a major source of gutter oil, used cooking oil continues to increase, and gutter oil from “table to table” has often emerged, causing widespread concern. In order to solve this problem, all walks of life offer kinds of advice. Gutter oil which is rich in fat, can be used as concrete release agent, and some scholars have tried to use it as concrete shrinkage reducing agent. This paper is based on this, using gutter oil which seriously endangers people’s lives and health, as concrete release agent and shrinkage reducing agent, so as to turn waste into treasure, at the same time can reduce the project cost.By the selection of the emulsifier and emulsion technology in this subject, a stable oil-in-water emulsified gutter oil is prepared. Then through selecting the dosage of additives, the formula of emulsified gutter oil as release agent and shrinkage reducing agent are made. For release agent, its basic performance were characterized, and its different dilution ratio of concrete drying shrinkage, surface permeability, surface hardness and table face structure compared to the control test were also tested. As for shrinkage reducing agent, the test of autogenous shrinkage, drying shrinkage, compressive strength of the concrete were implemented with different mixing amount compared to the control test, by means of mercury intrusion microscopic analysis(MIP), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), x-ray diffraction(XRD), and surface tension test to discuss its reduction mechanism.Results of the study show that the emulsified gutter oil when used in concrete release agent, releasing effect, drying shrinkage, surface gas penetration, surface hardness quite effective with the control test, the table face structure has significantly improved, moreover because it is renewable resources, has a good prospect of development. When the emulsified gutter oil used for concrete shrinkage reducing agent, with 3%, the effect on the autogenous shrinkage and the strength of the concrete is nearly equal to the existing based alcohol shrinkage reducing agent, while drying shrinkage reduction is less than the latter. This is mainly due to two different reduction mechanism of shrinkage reducing agents: the former due to the saponification reaction between its fat and concrete hydration products, filling the internal capillary pores; the latter through lowering the water surface tension of internal capillary pores to make it.
