Along with the development of the technology and the further improvement of the the weapon performance, the air combat environment will become even more complex. In the near space, hypersonic aircraft brings an enorous threat to the national security due to its huge airspeed, shorter reaction time, more difficulty to detect and strong lateral maneuverability. Therefore it is necessary to study defense technology against near space hypersonic aircraft while developing the hypersonic technology. From the current technology status of the precision guidance weapon, and the difficulty to intercept the hypersonic aircraft in near space, it is easy to conclude that is extremely difficult to intercept a hypersonic object by using a single interceptor to destroy the hypersonic target directly. While using a single interceptor, one of the factors leads to the low success rate is the less than optimal detection accuracy due to the single interceptor. By using multiple interceptors, the higher detection accuracy compare to the single interceptor system could promote the probability of a successful interception, therefore, the research of the cooperative detection of multiple interceptors become necessary and practical. This article will attempt to solve this problem from three different aspects. Firstly, the article will try to describe the guidance problem from the geometric relationship and set up the model of interceptors. Considering the measurab le data and to make Kalman Fliter easier, we need to choose the right state variables, measuring variables and covariate. The equations of the interceptors and the target are established on inertial coordinate system. The equations of the relative kinematics equations are established on line-of-sight Cartesian coordinate system or inertial coordinate system.Secondly, the cooperative detection of multiple interceptors can accomplish detection of the target region by using interacting multiple model algorith m with data sharing. Because of the data sharing, the accuracy of detection and the detection range will be improved compare to a system without data sharing. By applying interacting multiple model algorithm, the value of relative motions between interceptors and the target can be estimated to obtain a more accurate track for target’s actual flying path.Furthermore, by using probability method of combination simpler models to approach target’s actual flying path, we will further discuss how to maintain a relatively high accuracy with reduced number of models. With the help of simulator, we will be able to determine the best filter model for a real time simulation of a near space hypersonic aircraft’s actual flying path. With the help of data fusion algori thm, the acceleration accuracy of the target can be further improved.Adjust the weighted value by covariance matrix of estimated value of target acceleration, we can obtain higher accuracy with multiple data of target acceleration by data fusion algorithm.
