With the rapid development of mountainous urban traffic tunnel and other public utility tunnel, the jointly-built tunnel has drawn greater attention. The research method and practical construction experience of the jointly-built tunnel are relatively deficiently,it should be built on the experience of the large cross-section tunnel with single bore and the close-spaced tunnels with twin bore.Depending on the project of the Jin Zhuwan tunnel in conjunction with power tunnel, this paper employs methods of theoretical analysis, numeric calculation and engineering practices to analyze two different jointly-tunnel construction schemes, then to put forward the appropriate construction scheme and make an intensive study in the construction mechanics of the appropriate jointly-tunnel construction scheme.it can provide reference and experiences for the future similar projects, and the main research findings are as follows:Firstly, putting forward two different jointly-tunnel construction schemes, one is the power tunnel in the tunnel invert or the first scheme, the other is the power tunnel on the left side of the tunnel invert or the second scheme. The two jointly-tunnel construction schemes are simplified to the equivalent circles, then analyzing the stress and deformation of the corresponding equivalent circles and putting forward the appropriate jointly-tunnel construction scheme from the point of theoretical analysis.Secondly, two 2D finite-element models of this two different jointly-tunnel construction schemes are constructed, which make numerical simulation in the excavation and support reinforcement process. Then comparing the stress and displacement and plastic zone characteristics of this two jointly-tunnel construction scheme., in the end of this section putting forward appropriate jointly-tunnel construction scheme.Thirdly, on the basis of positional relationship of the connective channel and the jointly-tunnel, a complex three-dimensional finite element model is applied in simulating the excavation in the section of the maintaining roadway, then analyzing the changing rule of the stress and deformation of surrounding rock during the process of excavation and supporting. Analyzing the stress and deformation of surrounding rockduring at the intersection, then researching the impact area of stress and deformation during the excavation of connective channels.
