With rapidly growth of economic, vehicles has become an indispensable transportation in people’s daily life. In the train of the great number of vehicles, not only making people feel bad when travel on the bus, but also wasting resources and polluting the environment. Get rid of vehicles’ mechanical failure, the driving behavior is the critical factor of these problems. In order to solve the increasingly driving comfort problem and fuel consumption problem, this article based on the CAN bus protocol standard to design a device which can collect and analysis driving data. So the device can monitor and analysis the bad driving behavior. The details of the article are that:First, the underlying technology of the onboard monitoring system was introduced. Analyzing evaluation methods of driving behavior and the model of fuel consumption level and driving comfort level.Second, extracting the features of bad driving behavior through the extensive analysis on a lot of bad driving behavior, designed algorithms of the driving comfort and the fuel consumption.Third, using lpc1769 as the master component, based on the CAN bus protocol standard, choosing the SAEJ1939 diagnose protocol and the ISO11898 communication protocol, to build the hardware of the driving behavior monitoring system. Then using Code Warrior to develop the driving behavior monitoring application and the CAN bus communication application.At last, after making the comprehensive analysis on the bad driving behavior’ kinds and its weight, this topic choosing the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation to evaluate the grade of driving behavior.By using this system in the Internet of vehicles, drivers can learn about the traffic conditions and RTA(roads and traffic authority) can remotely monitor the road traffic. The system has a practical effect on protecting the environment, saving resources and avoiding accidents.
