In recent years, composite foundation has been developing rapidly in our country, has been widely used in many projects, and achieved good economic benefits. In the case of security, in order to save cost, economic and energy saving, the multi-element composite foundation has been developed. The influence of the multi-element composite foundation under the different arrangement, length and materials of piles is studied in this paper. The main work of this paper are carried out as follows:(1)Based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA software, multi-element composite foundation is described and three-dimensional solid model is constructed.(2)It is discussed that the arrangement of piles on the influence of four factors, which are the settlement of foundation, axial force of piles, force of pile-top and pile-soil stress ratio.And it is concluded that the optimal arrangement of piles.(3)On the basis of better arrangement of piles, the effects of pile length on the multi-element composite foundation were analyzed. It is concluded that the optimal length of piles.(4)On the basis of better arrangement and length of piles, the effects of pile materials on the multi-element composite foundation were analyzed.The results show that the pile arrangement of multi-element composite foundation which is stronger in the interior and weaker in the exterior is reasonable. In addition, the length and materials of piles is discussed, which give some references and instructions for the optimum design of multi-element composite foundation.
