It is due to extremely superior mechanical properties such as high strength that 7050 aluminum alloy is widely used in all aspe cts of the aviation industry. The residual stresses is easy to pro duce for the m odern aircraft parts with the thin wall an d lightweight characteristics in machining p rocess, which will produce a local deformation. The resid ual stresses will af fect the dim ensional accuracy and surf ace quality.Through analyzing and discussing with the residual stress in 7050 aviation aluminum alloy at home and abroad., in this paper, three-dimensional theoretical model of residual stress is set up based on the thr ee dimensional distribution characteristics of residual stress on Machining surface, which considers comprehensively the strain of the X, Y, Z three direc tions, for the two dimensional theoretical model of residual stress established by DL.Mc Dowell w ho only considered the strain of the X, Y direction without considering the Z direction of the strain. In this m odel it as well as comprehensive considered cutting f orce and cutting tem perature on the influence of residual stresses in the m achining process. This paper arranges a set of high speed milling experiments, and through the special X-ray diffraction residual stress on the surface of specim en was tested. This pape r analyzes the theo ry model and the experiment. It can be seen from the results of the comparison, the theoretical model of residual stress and the testing results of the real is not perfectly, but it still ref lects the changing rule of the residual stress in a certain extent. This paper use ABAQUS finite elem ent software in the p rocess of metal cutting, also by changing the cutting speed and cutting thickness survey the influence on cutting force and cutting tem perature. Simulation resu lts show th at the inf luence of cutting speed on cutting temperature is larger and the influence of cutting thickness on cutting force is lar ger. At the same time this pape r use ABAQUS f inite element software simulation to simulate the cutting force and cutting tem perature on the the influence of residual stress. It is co ncluded that in the process of cu tting machine cutting force produced compressive stress in th e three d irections on the surface of the workpie ce internal, the cutting temperature p roduce tensile stress in the th ree direction on the surface of the workpiece internal. It is c oncluded that can’ t just choose high cu tting speed or smaller cutting degree in the process of cutting, should select the cutting speed and cutting depth according to the requirem ent of the 7050 aviation a luminum alloy parts surface quality reasonably.
