| Our country has abundant natural resources with a long coastline,with the high-speed development of economy,the exploration to the sea is speeding up gradually.The vessel,as an important carrier to sea research,is put forward to higher request of its propulsive performance and operability against the horrible sea environment.Full-rotating propeller is a special propeller combined propulsion and steering,can achieve 360°rotation around its longitudinal axis and provide its max propulsion in any directions. Because of the great operability ã€convenice and high propulsive efficiency,full-rotating propeller is applied in more and more working ships.Therefore it has important theoretical significance and practical value to research the hydrodynamic performance of azimuth propeller today.This paper analysis and calculate the hydrodynamic performance and flow field characteristics of full-rotating propeller with Fluent. Following are the main research work and analysis:(1)This paper first simulate hydrodynamic performance of No.19A+KA series ducted propeller whose related research become mature and data is rich. Comparing between calculated results and test results in the same advance coefficient, the average error is about 5%,the maximum error is less than 10%,in the allowed range.Therefore,the calculation model and method in this paper has feasibility.(2) Taking the verified No.19A+KA ducted propeller as parent type,with the same calculate model and method,predicted the energy-saving performance of the ducted propeller with PBCF.The PBCF can improve 0.65%~1.36% propulsive efficiency under a common advance coefficient.At the same time,analyzing the surface stress distribution and the velocity vector distribution at hub of the ducted propeller with PBCF.(3)This paper research on full-rotating ducted propeller’s hydrodynamic performance,due to the test data not rich,it could be regarded as the effect of stent on the rear of the ducted propeller according to its structure.When the full-rotating ducted propeller in zero deflection,5o deflection,10 o deflection,30 o deflection and 45 o deflection in steady flow field,Fluent calculate the hydrodynamic performance under each condition,draw open-water performance curve.The pressure distribution of full-rotating ducted propeller is similar to ducted propeller.With the change of perspective,the characteristic parameters of full-rotating ducted propeller’s hydrodynamic performance changed(4)To simulate and analysis the performance and flow of full-rotating ducted propeller in aft better,SolidWorks is used to model a square aft matching full-rotating ducted propeller.Through the Fluent simulation,the result shows :the thrust,torque and duct thrust are bigger than in open-water influenced by the ship wake,the magnification grow by the advanced rate increase.Velocity distribution of full-rotating ducted propeller in axial,radial and tangential all change by the influence of hull. |
