Research On Creation Of Cultural Atmosphere In The Design Of Sino-German Metal Hotel

With the rapid development of society and economy, the consumption pattern of people varies significantly. After meeting the basic material needs, there are more requirements for spiritual culture. Hotels have been developed through competition of price and quality, and currently the competition is transferring to cultural stage because of new consumer demands. This brings the hotel designers new opportunities and challenges. It is worth thinking about how to handle the changes appearing in hotel design. Theme hotels are the hotels that are well known of their culture, where the creation of the cultural atmosphere can effectively solve the problems above.Sino-German Metal Hotel is a theme hotel that is themed in German culture, and it’s also the product of both economical era and hotel homogenous competition. In this paper, Sino-German Metal Hotel is taken as the study object, and the research emphasizes on the creation of cultural atmosphere in Sino-German Metal Hotel. Based on architecture, we infuse psychology, culture communication, and sociology into the hotel design, to achieve the creation strategy of cultural atmosphere by reading document, case study, and practical hotel design.In the design of Sino-German Metal Hotel, we lay a solid foundation for creation of cultural atmosphere in the hotel by deeply analyzing its background. We build a frame of the atmosphere creation by planning and doing research. After confirming the design goal and planning concept, we pick up a German town as the design prototype,taking German culture as the theme of hotel,and create the cultural atmosphere in planning,architecture,and landscape,respectively, to optimize the atmosphere creation. Besides, special events and management can also help create the cultural atmosphere. By further studying this specific case, we hope to put forward an optimized solution for building a theme hotel that has strong cultural atmosphere, as well as provide valuable reference of cultural atmosphere creation in theme hotels for our country.
