The Rainwater Utilization In Landscape Design Of Xi’an Residen Tial Area

The rapid urban development in China, causing a lot of surface hardening pavements, changing the existing hydrological features of the ground. The hardening of the ground decreases the volume of the water in the soil, increases the heat island effect. The evaporation of water also decreases, and the air drying which leads to the city’s ecological environment deterioration. Rainwater is direct and economy water resource, water cycle also has an important status in nature. Utilization and protection of water resource has critical significance, so how to use the rainwater wisely is an important for sustainable development of water resources.This research base on a residential area called Zhuque Garden District in Xi’an. I’ve consulted a number of books at home and abroad. I realized the problem of rainwater utilization. I’ve Summarized the domestic and foreign theories about how to use the rainwater. And clear the importance of the rainwater collection and utilization in residential District. The methods and techniques of how to use the rain water in residential areas were discussed, and the potential of rainwater resources in residential areas was analyzed. I’ve done a lot of work on the arrangement and collection of data, including hydrological, meteorological conditions, the small scale and so on. And analyze from design, construction, operation and other aspects. I’ve Summarize the rainwater collection and utilization system through the analysis comparison and the actual operation.Rainwater utilization in landscape design and residential construction area will be very important in the future. I hope that rainwater utilization in future residential areas can be obtained more attention through the discussions for rainwater utilization in residential district landscape design.
