With the rapid development of economy in our country, a large number of high-rise buildings are built, which need higher requirements on the foundation design. As the pile foundation has the larger integrity and stiffness, it can bear larger vertical loads and horizontal loads to satisfy the requirements of high-rise buildings. Accordingly, pile foundation is widely used in the foundation engineering of high-rise building.According to the engineering geological conditions of Xi’an high-rise residential site, the author analyzed and compared two types of pile foundation schemes: Pipe Pile of Pre-stressed Concrete and Drilled Cast-in-Situ Pile.By comparing of the above two schemes, the author analyzed the following issues: the advantages and defects, the influence to capacity characteristics of each pile foundation, the project progress, the project quality and the impact on surrounding environments. With the comprehensive comparisons of the above issues, the conclusion is that Pipe Pile of Pre-stressed Concrete is better for the pile foundation of high-rise residential.Optimization analysis on pile foundation can fully utilize the pile bearing capacity. Whether it is safe and reliable, and can reduce the construction costs is particularly important. Using the numerical analysis software-FLAC3 D to build the high-rise building’s pile-soil interaction model, the author selected the optimal analysis of Pile foundation of Pre-stressed Concrete Pipe.FLAC3D draws the analysis curves of different models under the action of vertical loads of the pile top settlement values: ① the change curves of the pipe top settlement value along with the increasing of load;② axial force distributions with depth charts. Comparing the calculation results of different pile diameters and different pile length models, the author found out the optimal pile length and pile diameters to realize the purpose on reducing investment, the purpose on safe engineering. Finally, static load test verified that the capacity of selected pile type can meet the design requirements.
