In recent years, with the continuous expansion of the engineering construction scale, more and more projects located in mountainous or hilly areas, Most of the foundations of these projects are filled foundations, which will be faced with a lot of earthwork back filling work.. Dynamic compaction method is usually used to deal with high filled foundation because of the advantages of cost-effective, simple construction as well as good reinforcement effect..At present,the research on dynamic compaction began to increase, especially the applications of high-energy dynamic compaction, And it obtained good engineering and economic benefits.This paper discusses the mechanism of dynamic compaction reinforcement foundation and reinforcement effect,on the basis of comprehensive analysis and induction of the dynamic compaction technology and the dynamic compaction method,at home and abroad.It expounds the decision criteria of effective reinforcement depth adopted in this paper. And on this basis, this paper introduces the trial tamping condition of dynamic compaction with energy of 12000 k N.m and 8000 k N.m on filled foundations combined with Shaanxi Extension of the oil(group) of the comprehensive utilization coal, oil and gas resource project in Yan ’an. The changes of the major physical and mechanical indexes of the foundation soil before and after the trial ramming are analysed through the static cone penetration test, compaction test, well excavation and laboratory test and plate loading test. The method of designing the high energy level dynamic compaction is determined. And in accordance with this,strengthen the foundation using dynamic compaction method,after then,analysis of the foundation settlement deformation, which having been achieved a good results.This paper has important significance for perfecting the consolidation mechanism and determining the effective reinforcement depth of the high energy level dynamic compaction. Also can provide according and reference for design and the foundation reinforcement technology for high energy-level dynamic compaction projects in the future.
