With the rapid development of the economy, a large number of ultra-high and completed building has been coming into being, the construction progress of these projects make a big difference to the internal force and displacement of structure completion. It is necessary to pay attention to the change of force and displacement in different construction stages, to make sure the safety of structure.MIDAS/GEN FEM software is used to analysis the construction progress of a complex high-rise building structure in this paper. By comparing one-time load calculation and complex structure construction simulation analysis under several situations, such as the creep and shrinkage of concrete in 20 years and different construction speed, the regularities of distribution of the structure’s deformation, deformation difference and internal force in vertical and horizontal direction is found,for similar engineering reference.This structure’s architectural modeling is quite complex. The architecture, with front heaviness, is a typical dumping structure that dumps towards the right. What’s more, its plane layout changes in each layer and its columns are quite special, such as large numbers of steel pipe columns and furcated columns. The analysis shows that, it will generate apparent horizontal displacement under vertical load in this complicated structure, and vertical deformation difference between core tube and frame columns in this complicated structure, the influence of different construction speed on the vertical displacement of structure is limited. The maximum value of vertical deformation difference and horizontal displacement appear in the middle floor and mainly distribute on the right side of the structure. The main feature of this engineering is that the structure’s vertical loads would bring horizontal displacement to the structure, which of course, would make the internal force vary complicated, and the resistance to the lateral stiffness of the vertical member is higher. Comparing to one-time loading, under construction simulation analysis, the structure would probably be under the unfavorable loading effect. the sum of deformation by shrinkage and creep of concrete would take up 40%-50% of the total deformation of the structure. With time going by, shrinkage and creep will constantly increase, and the sum of deformation by shrinkage and creep of concrete 20 years later would more than the elastic deformation, which will influence the internal force of structure. It will underestimate the axial force of frame column without considering the shrinkage and creep of concrete.In conclusion, construction simulation analysis before construction considering the shrinkage and creep of concrete should be completed in complicated shape structure. The research results of this paper not only provide guidance to this building’s construction, but also provide a meaningful reference for similar engineering.
