Peri-urban Area is widespread in the Pearl River Delta. Due to the lack of effective planning, the rural community has gradually disintegrated, but the urban community has not yet been constructed. How to avoid the future of peri-urban area and realize the transformation? Is the way of transformation to continue to improve the community functions, highlighting the value of the community or a thorough reconstruction of the space? In this regard.At present, the research on the planning of peri-urban areas in China is almost empty, and the research on community planning is late and the practice has not been carried out yet. Based on this, this paper attempts to combine the two. Taking Dachong community planning in Lishui, Foshan as an example to explore community planning in the Pearl River Delta.First, why the current planning deal with inability? By analyse the planning process of peri-urban areas in Lishui, points out that the peri-urban areas is a developing body that master land resources and also a social, economic, spatial, management unit. However the Master plan, regulatory plan and village planning ignore the community and community construction.Secondly, why use community planning? Try to put forward the idea of community planning in peri-urban areas. Community planning is the comprehensive plan and action plan of community which has the development target and concrete action plan. Community planning includes society, economy and environment, and try to solve the spatial problems in integrated form, taking spatial environment as the object of action and constructing community intrinsic dynamic updating mechanism by community economy, so as to guide the peri-urban areas to construct community based on traditional rural community and achieve community transformation and sustainable management. Put forward the idea of the transformation and reconstruction of rural community, the construction of community economic and the spatial environment planning in the peri-urban areas.Again, how to make community planning?
