| The main purpose of the asphalt pavement overlay layer design is to restore the strength of pavement structure and performance. In this paper, the study on the design method of asphalt pavement overlay mainly embarks from the pavement performance. Through the design of the layer thickness, structure and material, to make the pavement keeping a good service in the whole service life.In this paper, the main research content includes the following several aspects. By the survey of several expressways in the region of seasonal freezing, confirming that pavement rutting and transverse cracks is a major disease, and analyses the mechanism and the influencing factors. According to the pavement performance requirements set up performance evaluation index system, and set up five performance attenuation model, including Pavement Structure Strength Index, Rutting Depth Index, Riding Quality Index, Skidding Resistance Index and Transverse Cracks Index, by analyzing with jingha highway pavement performance data of the calendar year. Establish the old road effective structure number calculation model with the definition of AASHTO pavement structure number and pavement structure strength coefficient in China, and analyze the influence of structure number to pavement structure strength attenuation, establish the pavement structure intensity attenuation model based on the pavement structure number under different traffic load level. Through the calculation of the cumulative standard axle load times in the design period, analyze the law of the development of rutting in the corresponding traffic pressure, establish the pavement rutting development model based on the cumulative standard axle load. Establish the road transverse cracking prediction model based on the low temperature cracking of asphalt surface course and semi-rigid base crack reflection, by surveying the expressway transverse cracks in three provinces in the northeast of China. Put forward the multi-index design method of asphalt overlay based on the pavement performent, and determine the performance design index and design parameters by analyzing design method of pavement overlay at home and abroad. Analyze and compare the design results use the method in this paper with Highway asphalt pavement design specification-2014 and AASHTO by the actual engineering cases of Shen Shan highway, and verify the rationality of this method. |
