Nowadays, with the constant development of satellite technology, the function of the satellite is getting stronger and stronger. Because the satellite payload is becoming more and more heavy, the attitude control system must be more accuracy. In order to improve the resolution and the surface coverage, increase monitoring scope, the satellite must have the ability of side swing, so it can move rapidly. In recent years, for long life, high stability of small satellite attitude control system, optimizing reaction wheels as actuators both at home and abroad.Presently reaction wheels have some disadvantages: volume, quality and power consumption are bigger. To realize the flywheel motor flattening, lightweight and less power consumption this paper do some research. The main research content includes:The flywheel motor design for axial, reduced the flywheel motor axial length greatly. Selecting the double rotor and single stator structure improve the power density of flywheel motor effectively.The stator is made by PCB. Introduce the design of the PCB winding mainly, including the way of the three-phase winding connection, the shape of the winding coil, the number of turns, the size of the copper clad, PCB layers, etc. Then analyze the loss of the stator winding. Establishment a model of rectangular conductor eddy current loss, and calculated the theoretical value.Design the axial magnetic suspension bearing. Firstly, introduces the design of axial magnetic suspension bearing, including stiffness and stability of the bearing. Made comparisons between several kinds of structure and determine the permanent magnetic bearing structure. Then do stress analysis for the selected structure. Finally, use software of Maxwell for finite element simulation analysis.Complete the driving circuit design and produce the flywheel motor prototype. The overall size of the prototype is f228mm′25mm, the quality is 1.68 Kg. Meet the requirement of flattening and lightweight of the flywheel motor.
