Hydraulic turbine is used for Electricity generation, as it’s clean and sustainable, it is widely applied. While there is no effective method to storage electricity power on large scale at present, it’s necessary to keep the balance between supply and demand during electricity generation, and the load of the electrical power system keeps changing, the output of generator set needs to be regulated. To guarantee the power quality, rotational speed of hydraulic turbine must be fixed, which is realized by turbine governor. Turbine governor is key component for hydropower station’s automation, and it’s powered by hydraulic system. For heavy load or room limited situation, multi actuators is needed, and the actuators must move coincidently while take the leakage, nonlinear friction and manufacture errors into account.In this article, hydraulic cylinder synchronization system with rotation load is studied, this research analyzed the structure of the system, established system model, and used Lab VIEW to accomplish the simulation. The result showed that the original system has slow dynamic response and narrow frequency response, with sine wave input, the response showed obvious signal attenuation. To improve system performance, robust controller is designed and compared with PID controller in simulation, and the robust controller showed better performance and have decrease 50% both overshoot and response time of step signal. To test the robustness of the controller, interference signal was added in the input and output end. With strong interference, PID system was not able to remain stable, but the robu st system still had good performance. After satisfying performance of singular cylinder is gained, synchronization performance was studied. Master slave strategy, parallel strategy, feedback compensation and model reference adaptive control is applied for system, the simulation showed that model reference adaptive control have the best synchronization performance compared with the other methods. Confirmed with experiment results, the controller and synchronization strategy applied in this article is effective and got good behavior.
