Abstract/Summary:
As the wave of new buildings and expansion of university campus in China in the 21 st century gradually decreased, there emerged many feedbacks regarding the teaching areas of the campus in the cold region after being into use for a period of time. The compression of the designing period, urgency to be put into use and a lack of systematic and theoretical knowledge and so forth incurred a series of common problems. The teaching areas lacks effective response to the climate of the cold region, with the same appearance, large scale of teaching space makes itself unreal and the huge empty space makes people feel uncomfortable. Pursuing for the appearance and the scale leads to the loss of elegant academic temperament of universities. This dissertation is based on the aforesaid issues, with the design principle of building teaching areas to adapt to the climate of the cold region, with the design logic of construction of cold region teaching areas in accordance with the nature of space, from the two aspects of the layout of the building and the environment of the building of the cold region teaching areas, to systematically analyze and research on the cold region teaching areas. This dissertation, first of all,from the analysis of campus research in cold region as a starting point, has made clear the purpose and significance of studying the teaching areas in cold region campuses and defined the related concepts and research scope of teaching areas in cold region campuses. On this basis, this dissertation starts from construction elements of teaching areas in cold region campuses, to figure out the influencing factors of cold region teaching areas, further to establish the design principle that adapts to the environment of cold region, adapts to the construction by stages and the opening and sharing system and summarize the on site investigation of the dissertation in the early stage. In the aspect of the layout of the building, first of all,adjust the cold region teaching areas at the macro level and study the function layout,size and location selection of the teaching area; Secondly make a framework of cold region teaching areas at the medium level and study the method of layout, shape of construction and location of core buildings of cold region teaching areas; Finally,organize the cold region teaching areas at the micro level and study the internal space scale and spatial shape of the buildings. In terms of building environment, this dissertation is based on three progressive levels of the macroscopic structure to medium modeling and micro expression. On the macro level it is studied combined with the natural conditions of the base, the overall structure planning of the campus and the layout of the buildings; on the medium level, the square view before the campus, the landscape of waterfront area and the core viewsights of the campus arestudied. On the microscopic level, perfectly express the details of the environment through the design of the trails, greening and the sculpture.This dissertation rooted in the study of cold region teaching areas, conforms to the constraint factors of the cold region and tries to dig out the historical characteristics. From the two aspects of layout and environment of the buildings,this dissertation works out on the principal contradictions and optimizes the design gradually in order to provide some contribution to the future design of the cold region teaching areas.
