| As the need of building function and beautiful, a wide range of interior decoration materials are widely used. The flooring material, an important part of interior decoration materials has received the unprecedented attention. People usually ignores the danger of flooring material fire, when they go after comfort and beautiful. It is good for people to master danger of flooring fire by studying its combustion characteristic and the gas product from the pyrolysis of floorings. Also, provides theoretical guidance for reasonable choice of floorings and construction fire protection.After market survey, 11 kinds of common floorings are chosen as samples. This paper studied floorings combustion theory and the composition of pyrolytic gas. The ignition experiments show that: the ignition temperature of solid wood flooring is between 310℃ and 330℃, and for aggrandizement floor the ignition temperature is between 290℃ and 305℃, and 300℃ for bamboo flooring. Moreover, the cone calorimeter experiments were conducted for combustion characteristic parameters. The radiation intensity of experiments is 30 k W/m2ã€40 k W/m2ã€50 k W/m2. Research results are listed as follows: firstly, time to ignition is less with low panel density, and the same to mass loss rate. Secondly, high-density fiber flooring has the best anti-fire property in laminate flooring, oak flooring is the best in solid wooden flooring. Thirdly, flame color of bamboo flooring and oak flooring is(light) orange, and the others’ is orange-red. Fourthly, heat of gasification of aggrandizement floor is about 4.0 k J/g, and the others’ is about 4.4 k J/g. Fifthly, CHF of most floorings is around 12 k W/m2, while the CHF of white oak, birch, oak flooring is between 16 k W/m2 and 19 k W/m2. Last but not the least, the greater heat flux, the less combustion remains. The fraction of combustion remains is 22%, 20%, 19%.Pyrolysis and gas composition analysis experiments of floorings were conducted, by using an equipment developed by CUMT, with the final temperature of 250℃ and temperature rise rate of 3.8℃/min. Being heated flooring releases CO, CO2, CH4, C2H6, C2H4, C2H2, C3H8. The study found that, the volume of CO is much more. It suggests that HRR mostly depending on the volume of CO. Gas generation rate increases when the final temperature raises or temperature rise rate decreases. This paper is beneficial to numerical simulation and theoretical research on full-scale interior flooring fire. |
