In this paper,various flow metering method of the air compressor are discussed and compared for the content and principle of the air compressor performance testing.Based on the actual needs of the Chongqing light rail route 2 in Dayan segment,designed the the air compressor flow measurement scheme for the air compressor.The control scheme of air compressor testing system with PLC+PC as the core is presented, and the function of the air compressor flow measurement and the speed adjustment of air compressor is accomplished by PLC program.The paper realized the data communication between intelligent digital display instrument and PLC based on RS-485, compared to the PC configuration software of real-time monitoring and data calculation and analysis, the role of intelligent instrument and PLC data processing is more reliability and independence.In the running in test,using the weak electricity switch quantity output inverter control, on the one hand, reduced use analog module, the system based on multiple inverter speed control is simpler and more direct, on the other hand,it also improves the speed control scheme of the system accuracy and stability.In flow metering test scheme, all the digital quantity, switch quantity and analog quantity were through the PLC input and output, compared to the original contains a contact point of the relay contact system, effectively improve the logic and the reliability of the system, but also improve the safety level of the equipment efficiency and air compressor maintenance, for the follow-up system optimization provides the ideas and methods, it has certain engineering application value.
