The Study On Renewal Strategy Of Third-front Industrial Heritage In Sichuanchongqing Region Under The Symbiosis Theory

With the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy and the economic adjustment in China, the construction of third front has exited the stage of history and forgotten by the public. Some companies in third-front area have moved or corrupted since many reasons, and they leave many third-front industrial heritages. The third-front industrial heritage is the witness of its local history, and it has many important influences in the development of a city, so it has many significant historical and cultural value. But the current situations of some heritages in third-front cities are not very optimistic. Since the expansion and development of some cities occur, the positions of some heritages become the center in such cities; since some problems like differential rent, environment and society show up, these heritages are facing a fate of being torn down; some thirdfront industrial heritages located in mountains are abandoned and damaged, so there must be some update in these heritages.Comparing with some western countries, the research of industrial heritage update starts later. Such researches started in 2006 and some periodical conclusions had been gotten. But there are still lack of researches on third-front industrial heritage update, and some of the conclusions cannot guide the update in third-front industrial heritages. Thirdfront industrial heritages have so great number, so wide distribution and so many sorts that the normal updating way of industrial heritages is not suitable for these third-front industrial heritages. So this paper turns to find a solution based on a interdisciplinary and integrated thought called Symbiosis, and it is a thought or theory which enhances many kinds of Symbiosis like parts relating to the entirety, human beings relating to the nature, different culture relating with each other and history relating with future. This has a revelatory significance on third-front industrial heritage update. This paper starts from the thought of Symbiosis, sets third-front industrial heritages in Sichuan and Chongqing as research objects, and tries to find out a new “Symbiosis” strategy of third-front industrial heritage update.There are five parts in this paper, the first part is: the theoretical introduction, some researches and practical results of third-front industrial heritage update and industrial heritages are introduced in this part, and some “Symbiosis” thoughts in different fields are interpreted, and this gives a theoretical basis on this research; the second part is: the survey, the objects are third-front industrial heritages in Sichuan and Chongqing, and the purpose is to learn the process of third-front construction, the emergence of these heritages, the characteristic of these heritages, the value of these heritages and the current situations of these heritages, in order to summarize the current situations of both the updated third-front industrial heritages and third-front industrial heritages in Sichuan and Chongqing; the third part is: the strategy forming, analyzing how the predicament of the third-front heritage update occurred, how big the significance of “Symbiosis” will be on the third-front heritage update, and forming a “Symbiosis” strategy from three aspects which are culture, city, time and space; the forth part is: the strategy research, discoursing from three aspects of “Symbiosis” which are heritages and culture, heritages and cities, and heritages and time, giving corresponding “Symbiosis” strategies in different aspects; the fifth part is: the practical demonstration, setting the case “The City Planning Design of Chaoyang Factory Industrial Heritage Area” as the object, practically using “Symbiosis” strategies, guiding practical projects, verifying the feasibility of strategies, and getting feedback from it.From the discussion of five aspects, the process which proceed from finding problems, analysis problems, solving problems to finally guiding practices. Hoping this can provide some theoretical replenishment and practical reference to third-front industrial heritage update in Sichuan and Chongqing.
