| Hybrid bearings for many advantages, such as, long service life, great bearing capacity, good accuracy, and stabilization, have been widely utilized in modern machinery equipment. In recent year, researchers have paid more attention to the projects of carrying capacity, structure, throttle etc. This paper mainly study the theoretical knowledge of hybrid bearings based on two different fixed throttle devices(orifice and capillary throttle devices), build the geometric analysis model and analyze the characteristics of hybrid bearing.â‘ At the beginning, the present paper investigate the function and working principle, build and analyze the bearing friction power consumption, carrying capacity and the effect of temperature on the performance of bearing.â‘¡ Secondly, the geometric model of the oil film bearing is established using Solid works software. ICEM software is utilized to divide the oil film grid, and then the flow field of the hybrid bearing is investigated by the FLUENT software. The oil film ICEM mesh division method, solving steps and FLUENT simulation setting are given.â‘¢ Thirdly, the mathematical models of bearing film flow field of hybrid bearings based on two kinds of fixed throttle devices in ICEM is built, using the fluid simulation software FLUENT, the numerical solution of oil film force and temperature distribution are carried out. Comparing the simulation results of bearing film characters between two fixed throttle devices, analysis bearing film static characteristic of hybrid bearing, with change of Bearing eccentricity, bearing film pressure and the spindle speed.â‘£ Finally, sets up Laboratory Furniture of hybrid bearing, based on the setting of FLUENT simulation working condition, measures actually bearing film pressure and temperature distribution of hybrid bearing, and the measured datum are close to the FLUENT simulation results, verify the FLUENT simulation results are accurate.Through the investigate of bearing of two fixed throttle devices and the experimental verification, the results reveals the influence of eccentricity, Supply pressure and the spindle speed on the characteristics of hybrid bearing. The investigations have important guiding significance for the structure design and practical application. |
