Chinese port engineering construction is in peak season and the shipping industry has developed rapidly. With the ship construction large-scale development, the existing port has been unable to meet their demands. In order to accommodate the large, high-speed ship, navigation channel and harbor of the port have varying degrees dredging and widening. In the calculation of design wave in port engineering, it does not consider the channel effect before that ignoring the existence of the waterway to think that the ocean bottom is flat. In 1984 a phase of the project of the Yantai west harbor, the harbor wave condition of test results and Yantai west harbor pool of two stage cofferdam at the north end has been displaying wave of destruction and no channel to wave function under the condition of considering the wave condition of contradiction. In 1991 the company in Dalian Port Dayaowan bulk grain wharf project physical model experiment of SE wave to make China Southern to south south breakwater head design wave height increases more than 30%, ESE increased 50% to the island breakwater at the wave height wave channel North planning construction. Since in many engineering planning and physical tests have found that many waves of the engineering design effected by the channel, which channel excavation effect on wave can not be ignored. How to draw on the advantages and avoid disadvantages becoming a decisive problem in engineering construction.In this paper, by using the international universal MIKE21 application software the channel excavation after the wave propagation is studied. Analyzing the differences of the wave height distribution characteristics of both sides of the channel caused by wave incident angle, channel depth, channel width, wave period, channel slope changes which wave incident angle and channel depth are main factors and providing a reference for waterway near the hydraulic structure design.For real project, we propose three different channel excavation schemes and calculate the wave under different channel depth in the harbor high distribution which provides a valuable reference for the actual construction.
