The ever-growing of demand in airspace has raised higher requirements for supporting capacities in air traffic. Therefore, the establishment of a new generation of intelligentized air traffic control system is regarded as one of the most important goals in the urgent development of civil aviation system. Four-dimensional trajectory operational project is regarded as a key technology in future airspace management as also as the core technology in the next generation of ATC automation system, the flow management system and other system components. This paper focused on the key issues of four-dimensional trajectory operational including nominal flight profile generation, route meteorological modeling and four-dimensional trajectory guidance.Firstly, a novel method based on Aircraft Meteorological Data Relay data to generate flight profile is proposed for solving the problem of initial four-dimensional trajectory. The Dynamic Space Warping algorithm is applied in calculating the similarity distance of flight altitude profile while generating the nominal flight altitude profile. The Large Oval Distance algorithm combining with Base of Aircraft Data model is proposed to achieve a nominal flight speed profile when ground speed is unknown. Flight intent and meteorological factors retained in historical trajectory data as well. Secondly, the meteorological factors are taken into account to improve the accuracy of the aircraft trajectory prediction and a method to establish a route meteorological model based on Cressman interpolation is proposed, which combines the meteorological measured data and meteorological forecast data into an organic whole. Then, a method of how to conduct the four-dimensional guidance is designed, combining with the aircraft kinematics model and receding horizon control method. It has carried on the simulation and analysis to this method. Finally, a World Wind prototype system simulation platform is built, summarized the research and implementation of the results of this paper.
