The swashplate axial piston pump noise was caused by many factors, includes two parts of the mechanical and fluid noise. Fluid noise mainly include: flow pulsation, impact pressure and cavitation noise and other parts. For the swashplate axial piston pump with flow noise problem in the process, to reduced the flow noise as the research target, in ordered to valve plate damping groove structure optimization design for the breakthrough way. The main research content was as follows:1 Swashplate axial piston pump with flow of the working principle and mechanism of flow pulsation and pressure shock were researched. The flow differential equation for the plunger cavity oil pressure changes was established. The existing typical vlave plate damping groove structure mathematical model’s problems and improvement measures was researched.2 Axial piston pump with flow process of three-dimensional CFD simulation was researched. Based on the analysis of a certain type axial piston pump structure and the 3d software the axial piston pump’s internal fluid domain model was established. Computational fluid dynamics control equation was elaborated and the axial piston pump inner flow field was resolved by using CFD software.The parametric relationship between valve plate damping groove structure and axial pump’s flow pulsation was researched.3 The axial piston pump with vlave plate damping groove structure was optimal designed. On the basis of the theory of orthogonal test and the response surface function,the second order polynomial response surface function between plate damping groove structure parameters and flow pulsation value was established. In order to reduce the impact pressure and flow pulsation, the axial piston pump with vlave plate damping groove structure was optimal designed.4 The axial piston pump’s performance parameters were compared between valve plate damping groove structure optimization performance before and after by test. Accorded to the machinery standard regulations JB/T7043-2006 and industry technical requirements, the swashplate axial piston pump test was established. The correctness of optimized structure was validated by comparison with test data.In the same time the valve plate damping groove structure was improved by compared the test data.Research significance lies in the paper, by analyzed the swashplate axial pistonpump with vlave plate of working principle and mechanism of flow pulsation and pressure impact. In order to reduce the plunger pump with flow noise as the optimization goal, valve plate damping groove structure parameters as optimization variables, using the penalty function method of damping groove structure optimization design. To improve the performance of plunger pump research provides the theoretical basis and engineering process.
