The hydraulic pump is the heart of the hydraulic system, which transforms mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. Vane pumps are now widely used with one rotator against one stator, even more the Double-pump is also the case, which limits the upgrading of the specific power.Double-stator multi-pumps contain two separate radially disposed vane pumps sharing one rotator, which breakthrough the concept that one rotator corresponds to one stator, so that the substantial increase in the quality of the vane pump power ratio becomes possible. But the inside and the outside pump both subject to the effects of high pressure oil, greater impacts on double-stator pump could be formed by the unbalanced force which acting on the rotator, which can be decomposed into radial and axial loads. In order to solve the problems of the pump’ imbalance, this paper proposes the balanced type double-stator pump.Firstly, this paper proposed the background and significance of this research, detailing the trends of displacement pump domestic and abroad in innovation and research in the particular displacement vane pump, and the difference between the double-pump and the double-stator pump.Secondly, elaborated the working processes and the connections of balance type double-stator multi-pump, analyzed the force of the blade structure based on the unique seal volume of double-stator pump, and clarified the formation mechanism of the balance type double-stator multi-pump under different conditions upon which to work with seal volume. Then designed the structure of the balance type double-stator multi-pump, and two structures are proposed,we connect the symmetrical suction and discharge ports of the inside and outside pump, so the radial forces effect on rotator are in dynamic equilibrium, which makes the rotor’s axial force minimized. According to the structure of the program launched the expression of radial forces and also check the blade structure.Once again, the output characteristics of the balance type double-stator multi-pump were studied, the formula of displacement and the instantaneous flow in three different conditions of the pump were launched, and the impacts on the pump output characteristics were discussed, which due to the superposition of flow. Based on the analysis of the output characteristics of the pump, come to the positions of the in and the out oil port which make the pump output ripple minimization. The effects of the lag angle on the output characteristics of the pump were also considered. We analyzed the leak paths and different internal leakages, the leakage expressions under different conditions of the pump were obtained.Finally, experimental platform has been constructed and principle experiments of the pump were made, which verifies the feasibility of the balance type double-stator multi-pump, and provide a basis for the optimizing of the balance type double-stator multi-pump.
