With the development of technology and science, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) is more and more widely used in our daily life, bringing us a lot of convenience. Micro Aerial Vehicle(MAV), one kind of UAV, is used in military reconnaissance, target tracking, search-and-rescue, and other areas. Because of its unique advantages, it can be hardly replaced by other kinds of UAV, and get great support of many academic organizations.A kind of new style flying vehicle Flapping Wing Rotor(FWR) is studied on this thesis.In this thesis the dynamic behavior of FWR is researched, by means of mathermatical model. The experiment with a real flapping wing rotor model is finished, while the experiment data are compared with the simulation ones. The main work is as follow:(1) The development and research situation of UAV are summarized. Especially, the researhes on FWR are introduced in detail, in ordor to support the continued researches.(2) The flight principle of FWR is studied, and the dynamic model of FWR is built according to the analysis result of its internal motion and force. The trajectory and the attitude of FWR is simulated and analysed.(3) Some kinds of actual schemes proporsed by other researchers are compared, and the mechanism of the motor actual scheme is designed under the requirement of flight. Some researches about the design of angular magnification mechanism used in piezoelecric actual schemes are done. In order to increase the flight efficiency of FWR, an optimized structure of wing is also designed.(4) A virtual prototype of FWR is built, while different cases of analysed the motion are analyzed, and the virtual prototype simulate results are comared with mathermatical model.(5) A real FWR model is built, and the experiment with high-speed camera is finished. The experiment results are dealed and analysed.
