Abstract/Summary:
With the increasing importance of energy storage technologies, energy storage system has been regarded as an important part of electricity production six process— "Fuel- Generation- Transmission- Distribution-Services- Storage", and also as a point of smart grid in the future. Generally energy storage system is composed of two parts: One is energy storage element that consists of storage devise and its subsidiaries control equipment components, mainly for energy storage and its monitor, the other part is power conversion system that is composed by power electronic devices, mainly responsible for the power regulation, charge-discharge control and control functions.In this paper, on the basis of research situation on energy storage system and the requirement of the energy system design, the structure design of the 2WM/10 kV high-voltage energy storage system, hardware parameters and modulation method are determined. Secondly made the mathematical model of energy storage systems, designed the control strategy, include power control, SOC balance control and redundant control. The simulation experiment based on MATLAB / Simulink shows that the control strategy is satisfied with the requirement. Analyzed the energy storage system protection strategy and the corresponding course of action. To experimentally validate the power conversion system, prototype was built. Prototype experiment showed that the design of 2WM/10 kV high-voltage battery energy storage system is satisfied with the requirement of the energy system.
