With the development of energy Internet, the price of wind power down and the ability of the UHV transmission, the wind turbine are developing rapidly. The quality problems of the components gradually emerged, the wind power operation and maintenance market also ushered in a new era. The maintenance cost of the wind turbine is mainly for the transmission system、the electronic control system, and the yaw pitch system. Statistics show that the highest failure rate of wind turbine components is the gear box, once failure occurs need to bear the high cost of replacement but in the period wind power generation reduce.The growth box is the most commonly used drive equipment between the impeller and the generator, in this paper takes the wind turbine gearbox as the core and study on its dynamic characteristics.First of all, the paper analyzes the growth trend of wind power market in recent years,and also explained the development of mechanical fault diagnosis. Then described the composition and fan parts failure causes, types and characteristics. In order to facilitate the fault feature in extraction signal, mainly expounded the theoretical knowledge of the time domain parameters and the dimensionless parameters.Then considering that the actual fault signal is difficult to extract, using the virtual prototype technology to make assembly as a whole 3-D model, discussing the differences between normal and extreme broken teeth condition. Because the time-domain signals can not directly reflect the fault of defects but the frequency domain signal have the obvious difference characteristics, jointed use the dynamics simulation software and signal processing software simulation. Using MATLAB software to write algorithm that based on Hilbert-Huang and STFT method of spectrum analysis, through the time- frequency comprehensive analysis the spectrum of the gearbox fault diagnosis.By fully analyzing on the malfunction of single-stage planetary gear train, analysis for 2.5 MW wind turbines driving system meshing force. Verified by a large amount of data contrast large wind turbine gearbox fault diagnosis, simulation environment can be effectively and accurately diagnosed, and it is proved to be feasible.
