With the vigorous development of China’s west traffic in recent years, many large-span bridge was built. Because of the topography of the complex and diverse in western China, affected by the mountain wind field is also unpredictable. Therefore, currently, "Highway bridge wind resistance design norms " for the wind field is not applicable, so this article is the background about wind field at Hunan Aizhai Bridge site.and using field measurement and condition simulation of two ways of mean wind characteristics and fluctuating wind characteristics were studied mountain canyon,and summed up the average wind characteristics and fluctuating wind characteristic and variation between them. The main contents include:(1)Based on MATLAB software programming, measured data at the Aizhai bridge site were studied and analyzed,and emphatically analyzed three strong winds of the mean wind characteristics and fluctuating wind characteristics such as the 10 minutes average wind speed,wind roses,wind attack angle,turbulence,gust factor and wind spectral density function.Summed up the relationship between the above parameters, such as the relationship between turbulence,gust factor and 10 minutes average wind speed,and so on.(2)Based on Gaussian conditional simulation theory,using known speed and Cholesky decomposition and discrete frequency FFT transform function method to fluctuating wind speed estimates point is simulated. In this paper, the field measured wind speed and simulation methods to explore the Gaussian conditional simulation is applied to the simulation of wind speed. Verify that the four conditions through comparison, more known points to participate in simulated data, the smaller the simulation of wind speed variance, indicating that the better the simulation. The use of estimates point to treat two conditions simulated, given the 7th,12th,18th point of the simulation of fluctuating wind speed fig, and further validates:the more points are known to participate in the simulation, simulation results the better. In short, the Gaussian conditional simulation is a very effective simulation method and conditional simulation can better simulate the fluctuating wind speed.
