Finned heat pipe is one of the important components in the cooling system of engineering equipment and electronic products, it has high heat transfer efficiency, simple manufacture, safe and reliable, widely applicable, and so on. Increases of the air side heat transfer area of finned heat pipe, effectively improves the thermal efficiency of heat pipe. Therefore, the research on the heat transfer performance of the finned heat pipe, has important practical significance and important theoretical and academic value.Firstly, the results of the experimental study on the rectangular finned heat pipe radiator show that change the working angle of the heat pipe radiator for the influence of the heat dissipation performance has a certain regularity, fin and the horizontal angle, the greater the heat pipe radiator cooling performance, the smaller the thermal resistance will be. Secondly, by using Fluent software for natural convection under the condition of different fin spacing, fin height, fin heat pipe angle and mixed convection under the condition of different horizontal wind speed effect the performance of the fin heat transfer is simulated. The results show that under the condition of natural convection, increasing the fin spacing, fin height and fin and horizontal plane angle can improve the heat transfer performance of finned heat pipe, under the condition of mixed convection with the increase of horizontal wind speed fin heat transfer and heat transfer coefficient is approximate linear increase. Finally, according to the data obtained from simulation, using 1stopt1.0 fitting out of the natural convection of rectangular finned tube under the condition of the expression of dimensionless criterion and the formula of the heat transfer coefficient.Study shows that the finned tube heat transfer performance of the fin structure, size is relatively obvious, the influence of such factors as according to the fitting of rectangular finned tube under the condition of natural convection heat transfer coefficient of expression, can provide theoretical guidance for the optimization design and engineering practice of finned heat pipe.
