In order to solve the energy shortage and environmental pollution efficiently, the development of new energy sources is imperative.Three-dimensional modeling and dynamic mesh of WP10.340E32 diesel combustion chamber were built by using AVL Fire software. Via external characteristics and load characteristics of the engine fueled with B0, B10, B20, B30, B40 and B50 were done in different conditions, meanwhile the corresponding curves about torque, power, specific fuel consumption, NOx and soot were obtationed. Considering the power, fuel economy and emissions characteristics determine reasonable blending ratio.The influences of nozzle hole diameter, the number of spray holes, fuel supply advance angle and spray angle on WP10.340E32 engine combustion performance and emission characteristics were analyzed individually when fueled with B20. Based on the orthogonal design method, the primary and secondary relations and significant degree about the injection parameters’ influences on power, fuel economy and emissions characteristics were determined by using range analysis and variance, and the combinations of injector parameters were matched and optimized for each indicator. In order to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations efficiently, taking into account the engine power and specific fuel consumption rate, the optimal matching program was given: the nozzle hole diameter is 0.25 mm, the number of spray holes is 8, fuel supply advance angle is 10℃A, spray angle is 145 °.In order to solve NOx generation problem caused by biodiesel, the effects of different EGR( Exhaust Gas Recirculation) rates( 0、0.05 、0.10 、 0.15、0.20、0.25)on biodiesel were studied. Studies have shown that, exhaust gas recirculation technology can significantly reduce the NOx formation while soot emissions ensuring little change. Biodiesel’s good combustion characteristics can adapt to EGR technology, the shift in the relationship between NOx and soot does not appear.The research provides a theoretical basis for the practical application of biodiesel in diesel engines.
