| The Power grid is the basic of transmission and distribution. As the voltage levels of China’s power grid continue to improve, the demand of high-voltage and extra high voltage insulation products is getting more and more serious. These products have high market potential. 138 kV GIS terminal insulating sleeve is one of the most representative products. At present, only a few developed countries have the ability to produce those. China also rely on imports mainly. So this product is chosen to be the subject of the paper.The research could be divided into three parts:First, based on the features of terminal insulating sleeve, the new manufacturing processes have been settled : mixing with static mixer and APG process in vacuum. The differences with the existing old process have also been analyzed.Second, research the insulating material from two aspects: the electrical properties and viscosity variation characteristics.Third, some138 kV GIS terminal insulating sleeve are made from these different epoxy resin system. Their electrical performance test and reliability test are did and analyzed.In this paper, it proves that with existing equipment and process conditions, we already have the ability to produce the 138 kVGIS terminal insulating sleeve. and mixing with static mixer and APG process in vacuum is a reasonable manufacturing processes; And the significant facts of selecting insulating material are cleared; while some findings in this work will also provide valuable experience for other more complex EHV insulation products in the future research. |
