At present, the primary use of asphalt pavement is mainly semi-rigid base, which is mainly due to the high intensity of a semi-rigid, large load capacity, strong overall stability, and low cost of raw materials, easily obtained, structures and materials design and construction technology is mature. However, semi-rigid cracks caused by reflection cracks, rutting, erosion and other diseases phenomenon is widespread, and cannot be ignored. Given the semi-rigid pavement will inevitably produce a variety of diseases, the concept of semi-rigid and flexible substrate of the opposite, that type base layer can effectively solve the problem of the use of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement reflection cracks. With the Flexible Base depth, good performance flexible asphalt mixture gradually applied layer of asphalt pavement below.The research for the design and construction of asphalt stabilized crushed stone layer is still in the initial stage, lacking of technical standards of science and design guide. Most design indexes and parameters according to the actual situation of multi project location, the applicability is restricted. The calculation and analysis of asphalt stabilized crushed stone layer mainly use traditional layered theory, lacking of mechanical behavior analysis of large size mixture.To solve these problems, the paper ATB-30 asphalt stabilized base layer in the application of the following in-depth study. Analysis of the limitations of common design methods exist to Superpave design method with volume ATB-30 than the underlying layer design, select ATB-30 mixture of raw materials, and the composition of mixture ratio design, determine ATB-30 Asphalt Stabilized Gravel production mix ratio, and its road performance testing. Discrete element method to generate two-dimensional ATB-30 level and below with ATB-30 model for the microscopic structure of the underlying layer of pavement, in applying the standard axle loads, the track mesoscopic response pavement structure. Interpretation of the interaction between the particles and layers of pavement from the microscopic point of view to bear loads mechanism.
