With its beautiful and smooth curve outline, a better spanning ability to terrain obstacles, a perfect connection of the overall planning routine and other characteristics, concrete continuous curved beam bridges are widely used in civil engineering field. In the operation process of concrete continuous curved beam bridge, it often appears more lateral displacement problem, what was worse, the main beam would have moved to the lateral of the curve which led to the failure of the expansion joint and bearing, overthrown of the seismic stop, crack of the bending pier and column. Furthermore, external environment conditions become deteriorate that increase the probability of overturning danger. Under the background of the bridge traffic capacity rapidly increasing and bridge service life greatly lengthened, how to effectively make the lateral displacement under control in the period of its service life, and to ensure the bridge can safely afford to bear the load of the live load all the service life, have become an urgent problems yet.Combined with the experience that I have got from multiple of detection, reinforcement and maintenance projects on concrete continuous curved beam bridge in recent years, in the light of the widespread lateral displacement problem that have been exposed to concrete continuous curved beam bridge, I put forward some factors which contribute to the lateral displacement of concrete continuous curved beam bridge. And finally draw a conclusion that centrifugal force of vehicles is the main factor for the lateral displacement of concrete continuous curved beam bridge after my careful analysis and research. Through the analysis process of classical mechanics, as well as the characteristics of vehicle centrifugal force, combined with the finite element model and the calculation results, we can obtain the theory of how the concrete continuous curved beam bridge appears lateral displacement, namely the beam would happen to produce vibration under the action of centrifugal force from all the vehicles, then the friction of bearing will change at the same time, when the friction of bearing friction increases to a certain extent, it will lead to the displacement of the beam under certain conditions. Once vehicle load is removed, the beam will recover from elastic displacement, but there are still a small part is excluded. After the shrinkage and creep effect, coupled with the later continuously effect of vehicle centrifugal force, its trend of lateral displacement will becomes more and more obvious. When the friction of bearing exceed its critical value, the beam will appears large deformation and displacement.After the above conclusions and consideration of other affecting factors, I also processing the established model for further research, thus the model can represent the real situation of the bridge more accurately. Finally, the prevention and treatment measures is put forward on the same problem of concrete continuous curved beam bridge.
