The slewing device in the process of hydraulic excavator operation is starting and braking frequently. When it brakes, the slewing platform of rotational kinetic energy is lost in the form of heat,which causes the temperature of hydraulic system oil rises, the reliability and service life of the hydraulic system reduces. The composition uses the hydraulic accumulator as the energy storage element to recovery the braking energy of the excavator slewing device for reusing. The study includes the traditional rotary system analysis of energy consumption,energy saving design and control method. The composition focuses on the control method of the accumulator energy recovery and release and optimal control of braking performance of slewing device.Firstly, the composition introduces the research status about excavator slewing device energy recovery at domestic and abroad, analysis the change of the operation parameters of the motor and the turntable of the traditional excavator slewing device on Amesim software platform when it is braking. It is concluded that the loss of the braking energy of the motion of the turntable.And then we set up the hydraulic system model to recovery and release energy which based on accumulator. The simulation of the excavator’s starting, braking, reverse work cycle educed the accumulator can recovery and release energy. When the slewing device braking,the lever control accumulator reversing valve to turn on the energy recovery circuit synkineticly. When the energy release, we use the sensors to detect the speed fluctuation.When the rotational acceleration and speed are both small, the accumulator releases energy which means slewing device speed stability,so, we can get more accurate parameters of energy consumption.At last, at the problem of the slewing device in the process of braking reverse,even swing, the composition put forward a braking method. Through the sensor technology and logic operation, find out the excavator brake the timing of the reversal, then output control signal to make the throttle valve opened timely to connecting hydraulic motor oil in and out of the mouth, it has been verified by simulation, braking effect is good.
