Permanent magnetic ferrite magnet rotor is one important component of motor,of which the dimension and surface quality play the significant role to support motor running. At present the detection for the parameters of the dimension and surface quality still spends on conditional methods, such as visual inspection and inspection with tools.Since the conditional detection methods exist a disadvantage of inefficiency, low precision and high cost, to help solve the common difficult in the yield this paper comes up with the automatic detection and assorting as a new application subject.This paper begins with looking into the current domestic automatic separation equipment, targeting Automatic sorting technology, then deeply analyzes the relative parts and modules of Automatic sorting technology. All those helps to inspire the design and lay the foundation for the post design of the device. Based on the detection process to build the whole design structure and confirm parameters of some mechanism. The detection mechanism is the most important part of the structure design, which includes two parts: 1、Transmission mechanism, in this part a mechanism developed from manual detection is designed according to the magnet rotor’s dimension and to send the magnet rotor to dimension measurement station from vibrating disk; 2、surface development mechanism, in this part master-slave wheeling is used to realize the magnet rotor360-degree surface development. In the subject, the whole mechanism working process is instructed, then all the components are designed and relative standard components are selected.Solidworks included plugins do modal analysis for the separation mechanism detection and it turns out that no resonance phenomenon happens in the detection mechanism.After the mechanism design is completed as the detection platform, systematic control plan is built to include hardware system and software system. As for the hardware system, based on STM32 the motor driving circuit is designed, encoder frequency doubling circuit is designed to make sure magnet rotor surface development rate matched the camera scanning speed, and achieve real-time tracing for dimensional detection result by shifting register. As for software system, the ST official build-in firmwares supports the development. STM32 with its timers can help control the motor and receive encoder signal.According to the features of systematic controlling objects,set the surface detection task in the main function and other tasks in interrupt function.Based on the defined communication protocol, STM32 communicates with host computer by RS232 serial port and according to the received detection results, controls the separation box to achieve automatic separation function. In this way separation stepping motor frequent start-stop and reversing can be prevented by software controlling.In the end of this paper the separation mechanism is tuned, experimental error analyzed and development solution is come up with.
