Abstract/Summary:
RCS measurement is the key quantitative evaluation of the aircraft stealth performance. Ground Reflection Range of outdoor RCS measurement is an important measurement range to be able to obtain military equipment electromagnetic stealth performance such as the full-size aircraft. The works of this paper are mainly to meet the needs of the construction of the ground static RCS measurement outdoor field, analyzing some of the key electromagnetic problems which influence the target RCS measurement in the outdoor measurement field in theory: the simulation of distribution of electromagnetic(EM) field, the analysis of the target framework structure and its scattering characteristics; the influence of the EM environment level on the RCS measurement and the design of standard targets and RCS measurement process of Ground Reflection Range of outdoor RCS measurement. The specific research works in this paper include:(1) The analysis and study on the related issues of electromagnetic radiation on the target measurement window have been completed, specific works include the following contents, analysis of the gain principle of Ground Reflection Range of outdoor RCS measurement; the ground reflection coefficient calculation and simulation; under the condition of uniform and non-uniform EM illumination, analyzing the issues of electromagnetic field distribution influenced by the ground on the target measurement window; both high and low gain antennas have been designed, thus having studied the issues of the effects of the electromagnetic field distribution and the target RCS values influenced by uneven EM irradiation on the target measurement window;a set of high altitude target window EM magnitude uniformity measurement and ground reflection coefficient measurement plans have been designed. According to the mission requirements, a C-band detector is designed and fabricated.(2) Analysis and research of a variety cross-section related to low scattering metal framework RCS computing problems using the method of MoM. From two angles of cross-section and shape, designing the low scattering characteristics and the rugby shape cross-section metal framework and studying the method of reducing metal framework coupling with the measurement target.(3) Standard targets that could satisfy the requirement of target RCS measurement calibration have been designed and manufactured. Using the method of actual monitoring outdoor field EM environment to analyze and study EM environment level.The research works of this paper can provide references for ground static RCS measurement outdoor field construction and RCS measurement results precision identification.
