With the wide application of automotive electronic in the automotive industry, the electronic control system and network of automotive become more and more complex. The process of automotive software developme nt becomes difficult, at the same time the automotive software has poor reusability and portability. So the standardization of automotive electronics has been put on the agenda. In 2003, the global automotive manufacturers, parts suppliers, other electronic semiconductor and software companies established AUTOSAR standard. The standard is committed to develop an open, standardized software architecture for automotive.The AUTOSAR standard contains methodology, using a common technical for some steps of system development. AUTOSAR standard ize the network communication of automotive, using FIBEX to describe automotive network. However, before AUTOSAR was carried out, the CAN network description is stored in DBC file. If the CAN network can be migrated from the legacy systems to AUTOSAR system,it will save the design time of AUTOSAR system and reduce the design costs. Based on the study of AUTOSAR system level methodology, a system level tool chain is designed. Finally, network communication design tool and DBC migration tool are designed and implemented. The main work of this paper covers the following aspects:(1) Based on the analysis and research of AUTOSAR methodology, the structure ofautomotive systems level tool chain is analyzed and the overall design of toolchain is completed;(2) The study on network communication in AUTOSAR is made.Through theanalysis on Artop platform provides AUTOSAR basic function, the techniqueuse eclipse plugin to design and implement system level tool chain is proposed,and the network communication design tool is designed and implemented;(3) By analyzing the composition of the DBC file, combined with networkcommunications specification of AUTO AR, the way to migrate DBC file intoAUTOSAR system is carried out, and the DBC migration tool is designed andimplemented;(4) The network communication design tool and DBC migration tool are integratedinto system level tool chain. Functional test are made,the test results show thatthe tools meet the design requirement.
