Pipeline acts as the role of blood vessel just like compressor, steam turbine and other power machinery act as the role of the heart in the chemical industry. The vibration faults of pipeline and rotating machinery will seriously affect the normal production of companies and personnel security. In order to solve the pipe vibration, this paper studied the tuned mass damper and viscous dampers. In order to control vibration of rotating machinery, this paper researched the anti-swirl flow, honeycomb seal and integral squeeze film damper technology. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) To carry out the experimental study and numerical analysis for tuned mass damper used in pipe. In this paper, tuned mass damper and vibration test bench for pipeline were designed. The influence of mass ratio and installation location and number of TMD to the damping performance were studied. In addition, this paper developed a damper which can achieve frequency modulation control. Finally, through comparing the results of numerical analysis and experimental can verify the correctness of the results.(2) The application of viscous dampers in the vibration control of the pipe of reciprocating compressor. Firstly, to understand the vibration of compressor pipe in depth the field and analyze vibration reasons by finite element software ANSYS. Secondly, developing a reasonable viscous damping scheme and verify it by SAP2000 software. Finally, guiding the installation of dampers at scene and testing modification effect after start-up.(3) Vibration damping technology was studied for the sealing flow induced vibration. Rotor seal system flow field numerical analysis was carried out by computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT. The influence of rotor’s eccentric magnitude and the number of anti-swirl nozzle and the velocity of nozzle to the stability of flow field were investigated. At the same time a simple experimental had been conducted to verify the correctness of the numerical. In order to solve vibration and seal leakage problems of low power turbine, honeycomb seal modification was used and proved to suppress flow induced vibration effectively.(4) The properties of new S-type integral squeeze film damper for vibration control of rotor were investigated. The relationship between the damper stiffness and thickness of spring and damper thickness were studied. This paper builded the rotor test-bed and studied damping performance of the new S-type integral squeeze film damper on single span rotor.
