Extradosed cable-stayed bridge is the rise of a new combination system bridge in recent 20 years, the mechanical behavior between cable-stayed bridge and continuous beam (rigid frame) bridge. Because of its hardness and softness of the features, and good economic characteristics and aesthetic effect, win the bridge designer high favor, has been widely used in the actual project.In this paper, from the following three aspects of the design theory of the extradosed cable-stayed bridge is discussed.(One) According to China has built many concrete continuous beam(rigid frame)bridges, extradosed cable-stayed bridges and cable stayed bridges construction drawings information.organize the amount of its upper structure of the main materials (including pylons material).The main advantage of origin software to fit the amount of material with a main span of the relationship, comparative analysis of three kinds of bridge in total cost, draw some conclusions. That can be used when the conceptual design phase, for bridge-type scheme selection, the amount of material to determine and compare the comprehensive cost of providing a reference.(Two) Chongqing Jia Yue Bridge as engineering background, on the ultimate bearing capacity Extradossed Bridge were calculated. The use of civil engineering nonlinear finite element software midasFEA, considering geometric nonlinear and material nonlinear, study double nonlinear effects on the results, plotted load-displacement curves, find its ultimate load, get the safety factor of structure.(Three)The Shawan Extradossed Bridge as engineering background, use Midas Civil2012 software, by the pier bottom consolidated model, the bar simulation model, the double column frame model, the pile-soil interaction model for pile group foundation simulations, combined with the practical bridge construction data, the horizontal displacement of pier top is calculated under horizontal closure force, to provide reference for future modeling.
