The Research Of Equilibrium Model And Properties For Commuters’ Commuting

Economy is developing so rapidly, and the demand on the traffic is growing. In order for a more economical and environmental commute, more and more people use public transport. Therefore, its proportion in our daily life is increasing. Commuter travel not only accounted for a large proportion in the daily travel, but also it is crucial to the road congest problem at the morning and evening peak. Therefore, the dynamic travel behavior of commuters is a hot research issue.Firstly, this thesis outlines the background, significance and the research situation of traffic congest problem at home and abroad, which points out the problem and limit in the present study. A lot of people mainly study the road congest problem, and the research of congestion on public transportation system is not enough, especially the research of commuter travel behavior. The equilibrium bus riding model in different transit systems (many-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many) with in-vehicle crowding effect and schedule delay cost is established. And it is useful to study and analyze the commuter travel behavior.Secondly, using the equilibrium thought the equilibrium properties are explored, and the commuter travel is analysed and described in the round. The concrete example explain and illustrate the commuter behavior, which also validates those properties.Finally, commuters are assumed to be heterogeneous since they may have different crowding effect functions individually, and the more practical equilibrium model is established. Seven equilibrium properties are explored, heterogeneous commuters’ travel time and travel characteristics between heterogeneous commuters are found. The result of the example shows that it is feasible and effective to analyze and study commuters’ travel characteristics and rules. The study on the equilibrium model and analysis of properties are helpful to master people’s regulations of going out. It provides a theoretical basis to dispatching and managing the public transport and has a great significance.
