With the rapid development of economy and society, the demand of energy is growing for national. Energy became a factor that restrict social development and also affect every aspect of people’s lives. The conflict of People scramble for energy is also more and more worse, while the development of new energy sources has become an urgent task. Tidal current energy can be developed easily for ocean energy, with the characteristics of rich resources, predictability, no pollution be concerned by the world.This thesis design the tidal current energy generation device based on the principle of vortex-induced vibration which can get energy from the current of a low flow rate. Firstly, research on the principle of Dielectric elastomers generating electricity and the principle of the VIV device getting tidal current energy from the research status of the world.Then according to the principles of VIV design the mechanical structure of the capacitate energy device, enables the device to convert tidal current energy into kinetic energy with up and down movement, and verify the feasibility of the program with flume experiments. According to the principles and processes of the dielectric elastomer generating electricity, design the ring shape power generating unit model. Through theoretical analysis to optimize the inside and outside diameters and pre-stretch ratio and other parameters of the power generation unit, in order to carry out power generation experiment better. Also study on the electrical model of the dielectric elastomer transducer unit, draws its equivalent electrical models. Designed specifically dielectric elastomer experimental platform for study on the mechanical properties and generating properties of dielectric elastomer experimental. Improve the mechanical structural On the basis of VIV capacitation device, combine the dielectric elastomer generating unit and VIV capacitation devices and carried out the model tests in the sink, so that tidal current energy can be eligible through VIV capable device drives dielectric elastomer transducer unit work, the last summed the law of dielectric elastomer generating in VIV device.This thesis designs the transducer elements and optimizes the performance of it by studying the generation principles of dielectric elastomer. Initials identified the design methodology and the design ideas about combining dielectric elastomer with VIV device. Provides the theoretical guidance and good for promoting the commercialization and industrialization pace of the dielectric elastomer’s applications in power generation, accelerate the pace of development of new energy.
