The Design And Realization Of The Centralized Battery Management System For Electric Vehicle

For the considerations of energy and environmental issues, the electric car has been developed fast under the joint efforts of governments and vehicle manufacturers in recent years. As one of electric vehicle’s core technology, power battery and its management technology has been paid more attention. This paper assesses the new generation electric cars of JAC and the centralized system structure, designs a battery management system which combined with the current domestic and foreign advanced technology to meet the needs of electric cars.The battery management system achieves a valid on-line estimation of SOC, scientific evaluation of consistency by real-time detection of external physical parameter such as cell voltage, current and insulation performance. On this basis, it makes the scientific and effective use of the battery pack, to ensure the safety and reliable operation of vehicle, prolong the service life of the battery pack.From the overall structure of electric cars, this paper analyzed the rationality and scientific nature by using the one-piece structure on the battery. And further study of the structure and function of the centralized battery management system. To the objectives of safe and effective use, put forward the solution in four areas, as the detection of current, cell voltage, insulation resistance and the battery SOC on-line estimation. Finally, we designed the hardware and software of the battery management system, the driver programming was conducted in C language and the debugging of software is accomplished subsequently. And the system testing platform is designed to monitor the system information such as the change of received data, fault diagnosis.
