This thesis’ s research topic is the design of the tracking display and control platform of a shipborne underwater acoustic measurement system. It expatiates on the design, realization and test verification of the platform.The hardware design technology used in the display and control platform of this study is mature and easy to implement. Therefore, our research focused on the design of the software. In order to solve the problems about the software’s scale and complexity, and improve the software’s reliability, maintainability, scalability, reusability and other non-functional requirements, we analyse and design the software architecture in the field of underwater acoustic in perspective of software engineering, and then discuss the designing patterns. Based on the object-oriented idea, the study uses the unified modeling language(UML) to complete the software’s demand analysis, structure and detailed design. At last, we use the VC++6.0 MFC as the development tool, integrate and apply programming technologies of Open GL 3-D display, serial port communication, network communication etc. to realized the man-machine interface of the tracking display and control platform. The finally realized software interface is friendly and easy to operate. The application of 3-D programming technology has improved the experimental observation greatly.In the light of system’s application background, technical characteristics and difficulties in development, this thesis introduces the core content of the software design--theoretical analysis and algorithm disign. The main algorithms in the programming include tracking and positioning, posture correction of the ship, correction of sound velocity, anti-interference of the sound multi way, anti position fuzzy and smooth filter of trajectory etc. These algorithms involve in sonar technology, characteristics of underwater acoustic transmission, positioning data progressing etc. On the basis of theoretical analysis, the thesis has done some simulation about position accuracy and error, finished algorithms design, and gives the flowchart of above algorithms.The software has been tested on the lake after the completion of designing, programming and debugging, and has implemented the engineering application. So, the function structure of the software and the realization of the algorithms have been tested and verified also. The experimental results proved that: algorithms in this thesis are feasible; the application effect is obvious; the software meets all functional and performance’s requirements. Of course, there are still some shortcomings needs to be improved continuously.Through the research and application of new technologies and algorithms on the subject, some key problems in development of the shipborne underwater acoustic measurement system have been solved; the tracking precision and display effect is improved. Thus the project overall design level is improved also. The study of the subject has great reference value to subsequent researches.
