With the rapid development of China’s aerospace industry, life prediction and reliability test work of the long-life space agency are becoming increasingly important and urgent. For the special working environment of aerospace products and their high service life requirement of more than a decade, this will result in high expenses, huge costs, and the timing is not permitted if one performs conventional reliability life test to obtain reliability data. Therefore, it is significant to choose the appropriate method of accelerated life test, which will shorten the test cycle, to improve the testing efficiency and reduce the experiment cost.The research object of this paper is from the patent product of Prof Jiaxu Wang etc, Chongqing University——The new filtering gear reducer(Patent Publication No. CN1699793), and this paper deduces the acceleration model that reflects its failure mechanism by starting with the basic structure and working principle of the reducer. It studies accelerated life test program of the reducer in strict accordance with the existing mature accelerated life test methods and combine the objective experimental conditions and the specific conditions such as the cost. And it performs systematic experiment design and data analysis work for the life issue of filtering gear reducer by analyzing test data from two aspects. The specific contents are as follows:(1) This paper conducts a deeply analysis on the structures and the transmission principle of the filtering gear reducer. The weak links and the key parts are found by studying the filtering gear reducer system using the FMECA method.(2) This paper finds out the systems weak link as a breakthrough, and deduces the accelerated model of the filtering gear reducer and verifies the constant stress life distribution model and acceleration model from the two aspects of gear kinematic principle and fatigue wear failure mechanism.(3) For the characteristics of the filtering gear reducer, and the contrast of the accelerated life test methods combining the objective reality conditions, this paper designs a constant stress text program of the filtering gear reducer and performs the short-term experiment of a single filtering gear reducer as well. In addition, we get the change trend of multi groups accelerated life test with the real data of the harmonic reducer, and simulate the life experiment data of four groups for the filtering gear reducer at the meantime.(4) Based on the simulated data, we analyze and calculate the model parameters, and derive the service life of the filtering gear reducer life under normal operating conditions.(5) This paper analyzes the performance degradation data of filtering gear reducer by using the degradation data from the perspective of performance degradation. We also fit the reducer’s life model under different stress levels and predict the lifetime value of the given threshold of failure, and its correctness is proved when compared with the data statistical analysis model of full life test.Filtering gear reducer is in the process of constant improvement and development. This paper attempts on the purpose for solving the difficult reliability analysis problem of reducer which is long-life and high costs, and it also provides effective reference for structural design and engineering applications. The research process and result also have a guiding significance to other similar products.
