Test Blanket Module(TBM) plays a very important role in the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER). The main target of TBM is obtaining tritium hyperplasia to ensure the persistent fusion reaction. For the plasma is stored in the environment of strong magnetic field, it may produce powerful transient magnetic field if the plasma loses control, which will have a certain impact to TBM. So the transient electromagnetic characteristics of TBM and its structure decide whether the whole reaction device could run safely. And it’s essential to have a study on the transient electromagnetic characteristics of TBM.The main work in this thesis is to design and build a platform about the study on the transient electromagnetic characteristics of TBM. Firstly, the parameters of the pulse magnetic field system are estimated, and the preliminary design of pulse magnetic field system is carried out according to the index of this system(rising duration of pulse magnetic field is 3ms, maximum magnetic flux density is 0.8T). Secondly, the design about the hardware for platform is completed, including the selection of capacitor, solenoid, resistance and vacuum switch in pulse magnetic field system, the design of vacuum pumping system, and the auto-controlling system which is selected as PLC(Programmable Logic Controller). Thirdly, the code is written by Step7 so that autocontrolling about the platform can be realized by PLC. The interfaces in PC and touch screen are respectively configured by WinCC and WinCC flexible, so that different actions could be controlled, and real-time data could be monitored by PC and touch screen. Finally, the parameters of the pulse magnetic field system are corrected by induction coil through specific discharge experiment, and the actual discharge system is simulated by circuit simulation software to prove the correctness of theoretical calculation. At the same time, a series of experiments under different circumstances are conducted to choose the most appropriate induction coil, and the magnetic field in the center of the solenoid is measured by the most appropriate induction coil, the result turns out that transient magnetic field whose rising duration of pulse magnetic field is 3ms, maximum magnetic flux density is 0.8T could be produced by the platform.
