When the power grid have failure, to accurate and real-time diagnosis of fault component can reduce the time of the interruption of electricity and increase the reliability of power supply, it is of great significance to the stable operation of power grid. Meantime, as the development of the smart grid, quick detecting, accurate diagnosis and eliminat the potential fault are required to improve the system’s safety and reliability. At present, all sorts of power grid information system makes the accessing of fault information more convenient when the failure occurs. But when power failure occurs, all alarm and fault informations in a short period of time into dispatching center, Far beyond the power grid dispatching personnel’s processing ability.when the complex fault occurs, the grid fault diagnosis becomes more difficult.Previous power grid fault diagnosis method based on switching value, that is protection and circuit breaker action information. However,when the Power grid have failure, due to exist the misoperation of protection and circuit breaker, and the information loss because of channel interference and so on many uncertainty factors, only based on a single switching value information to diagnosis the power grid fault is very difficult to get accurate result. By contrast, when a fault occurs, the current voltage and other electric quantity informations changes first, the electric quantity information can better reflect some physical and mathematical features of power grid, its accuracy, completeness and fault tolerance have the incomparable advantage than the switching value information. So, introducing electricity quantity information to power grid fault diagnosis, and multiple source information fusion of electric quantity and switching value, carries on the comprehensive fault diagnosis method can improve the accuracy of diagnosis.This paper studies the multiple source fault information in the application of the power grid fault diagnosis. This article first introduces the research background the present situation and development trend at home and abroad; Secondly, this paper puts forward the power grid fault diagnosis framework based on the multiple source information integration system; And then introduces a variety of fault information sources in fault diagnosis; Next this paper analyzed the power grid fault diagnosis based on the switching value information, put forward directional weighted power grid fault diagnosis method of Petri nets; At the same time, the paper introduces electric parameters analysis to grid fault diagnosis, using the wavelet transform analysis of fault information to diagnose the power grid fault; On the basis of the above methods, this paper puts forward multiple source data fusion model for fault diagnosis; Finally, based on Matlab and Labview software, development the ring network experimental platform for fault diagnosis decision system,so, power grid fault diagnosis of multiple source information fusion algorithm is practical.
