Brushless DC motor(BLDCM) is a multivariable nonlinear system with strong coupling. It is sensitive to the load and parameter disturbances. In order to improve the robustness of this system, a fractional calculus control strategy is applied to the BLDCM drive system. Because of two additional adjustable parameters, the fractional order controller can get a better control effect compered with integer order proportional integral derivative(PID) controller.Analysis of a fractional order proportional integral controller, fractional order proportional derivative controller and fractional order integral and derivative controller on the basis of theoretical research. And paper propose the fractional order PID controller optimize parameter tuning method of which on the basis of the margin method and amplitude margin method. Through MATLAB simulation, simulation results show that the performance of fractional order PID controller is better than the integer order PID controllers.Finally, Brushless DC motor control system about fractional order PID controller is designed base on DSP chip TMS320F28335, which of hardware and software are designed and completed. Through the experiment, the results also show that the performance of fractional order PID controller is better than the integer order PID controllers.
